Waterborne Days 2023 is set to open its doors on Monday, September 26. This interactive, in-person, two-day conference aims to help contribute the future of research & development in the waterborne transport sector and be part of the Green & Digital transition.

Organised through a collaboration between the LASTING consortium and the European Commission, this event marks the coming together of all stakeholders in the waterborne transport sector. Event attendees are invited to explore various ship types, delve into cutting-edge research and development, and unlock the potential of sustainable technologies. The event aims to contribute to the update of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda that will drive the sector until 2027, working alongside the zero-emission waterborne transport partnership.

The event will include plenary sessions to roundtables to communication workshops, focusing on subjects such as Decarbonising Shipping: Policy Insights and Innovations to Achieve the Green & Digital TransitionComprehensive EU Funding Opportunities Database; and What role can Europe's R&I play in global efforts towards emissions reductions?

Plenaries will revolve around topics like Cruise, Offshore, Inland Waterway Transport, Long Distance, Short-sea Shipping, Ferries, and more. 

Participants will have the opportunities to:

  • Participate in discussions on the green & digital transition
